  • Do we have to be a member of your parish to attend school?

    No — students of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome at St. Barnabas! As a Catholic school, each student will be expected to participate in daily prayer and religious education. Mass is celebrated as a school community with students and teachers, and all family members are invited to attend.

  • Why should I choose St. Barnabas to send my child for school?

  • What makes an Independence Mission School different?

  • Do you offer financial assistance?

  • Is there yellow bus service?

    Yes, bus service is offered. Per school district policy, it is only available to students in 1st-6th grades.

  • What time does school start and end?

    The school day begins at 8:00. Breakfast is available from 7:40-8:00. Regular dismissal is at 3 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Dismissal will be at 2 p.m. on Thursdays.

  • Do you offer a lunch program?

    Yes, lunch and breakfast are both free options for all students.

  • When will I find out if we have received financial aid?

    As an Independence Mission School, we strive to deliver a high-quality education for an affordable price. All students must be enrolled and accepted before a decision on financial aid will be made. Our enrollment specialists will be able to give you a close estimate of the monthly amount you can expect to pay during your school tour.

  • How old does my child need to be for Kindergarten?

    Students must be five years old before September 1.
